Clinical Experiences of Hemodialysis with Dialung Artificial Kidney

Abstract
|
|
|
Hemodialysis using the Dialung artificial kidney was performed on three cases of acute renal fuilure and four cases of chronic renal fuilure and the following results were obtained.
1. The average duration of hemodialysis was consistent with 16 hours and 35 minutes.
2. The posthemodialized decrease rate of BUN and creatinine was 59.9% and 58.8% respectively.
3. As for the change patterns of electrolytes of pre- and post-hemodialysis, there was 7.8% of decrease in K+ but no changes could be noted both in Na+ and Cl-.
4. There were slightly decrease of body weight after hemodialysis and the blood pressure dropped mildly after hemodialysis.
5. No untoward reactions were seen during hemodialysis.
